Mouth Watering Fall Flavours

We’ve been enjoying the warm, dry fall, and so have the veggies. Despite a wet, cool August, most crops pulled through and look great.

Sweet Potato Update

Sweet potato harvest is wrapping up and we’ve had mixed results. Luckily we are growing sixteen different varieties, so while some have struggled with the weather, others have flourished. Each year brings different conditions and new results that help us decide whether to continue growing a variety.

We’ve also collected many open-pollinated seeds that we will grow next year in search of new varieties.

Last Week for…

This is the last week for eggplants and hot peppers. Dehydrating cayennes or pickling jalapenos are great ways to preserve the harvest. Sweet peppers will be available through the store for two more weeks.
