Receive a mix pack of 5-10 small to medium size slipping sweet potatoes ranging in colour from white to orange to purple. All varieties are locally bred in West Ottawa and perform well in our short growing season. Each pack should produce a minimum of thirty slips. Instructions on how to grow your own slips and how to grow your own sweet potatoes from transplanting to curing are included.
Orders must be picked up on Tuesday, February 23 at the Deep Roots Food Hub Root Cellar 230 Davidson’s Side Road in Nepean. Pick up information will be sent by email.
Description
All varieties are locally bred in Eastern Ontario and perform well in our short growing season. Each pack comes with one pound of sweet potatoes; enough to produce a minimum of 30 slips. Printed instructions on how to grow your own slips and how to grow your own sweet potatoes from transplanting to curing are included.
Please note slipping packs are pick-up only. Our freezing temperatures do not allow for shipping. Ottawa pick-up will be at Gaia Organics (Previously Greta’s), 399 River Rd. on February 19 10am-Noon.
