A Little About Heartbeet

Heartbeet Farm is a small-scale vegetable operation run by David Mazur-Goulet and Kate Garvie. The primary focus is on feeding 85 families in Kanata and North Augusta through our CSA vegetable box program from July to December. We also sell through our online store and a seasonal Farmers’ Market.

The majority of farm work is done at the hand-scale. We use human power and hand tools for planting, weeding, and weekly harvests throughout the season. A four-wheel tractor is used for bed-prep, cover cropping, and some of the large fall harvests. We are Certified Organic by Pro-Cert.

We are a values-driven farm working with our community towards a resilient, equitable local food system. Learn more about us.
